Coi Restaurant, San Francisco: The meal is a 3 hour presentation of art….very tasty art. The décor feels like Japanese wooded chalet. The wait staff moves like friendly, but not intrusive, colony ants bringing you carefully timed tasting plates. Most of the time, I felt like I should just take a picture of the food rather than eat it, but it was delicious. My favorite was the opening dish. A radish that had been cut into a shoestring. It was marinated and spun in a circle. It looked like a Nautilus with candy cane striping. I am constantly amazed at the creativity and skill of today’s best chefs.
Quote I am considering: “To sin by silence, when we should protest makes cowards out of men.” – “Protest” by Ella Wheeler Wilcox (November 5, 1850–October 30, 1919). I got this from the Brain Pickings email blog.
